Hope For The Brokenhearted
Friday Jul 25, 2025
Friday Jul 25, 2025
Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.
You know, when we ask God to guide our steps, He answers—often in powerful and unexpected ways. In the city of Gori, Georgia—the country not the state—a group of believers prayed that God would lead them to someone who was truly seeking Him. Moments later, a church member called and asked if they could visit a widow named Elene. Well, when the team arrived, Elene shared her heartbreaking story: after her husband—a military officer—died in a tragic car accident, her world simply collapsed. Grieving, working long hours for little pay, and raising two children alone, Elene was overwhelmed and hopeless. But that day, she heard the Gospel clearly—and responded with tears and joy, kneeling to pray and place her trust in Jesus. She said, “I’m now confident that I’ll be with God in heaven.” God still answers the cries of the broken—and He uses people like you and me to bring His hope. Looking For Hope
Thursday Jul 24, 2025
Thursday Jul 24, 2025
Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.
No matter where people live, they are deeply desperate for the love and hope found only in Jesus. Take Nikolai from Kazakhstan, for example. He struggled for years with alcoholism and had been through more than 20 rehab centers. He visited over 20 churches, searching for help. But *Nikolai believed that being a “good person” was what would get him to heaven—he didn’t understand the Gospel. When Alexei shared with him the Good News—that salvation is a free gift from Jesus, not earned by works—Nikolai was amazed. He said, “No one’s ever told me that Heaven is a free gift! From that moment, I can no longer be the same! Jesus has changed me!” Now, Nikolai is studying the Bible and preparing to be baptized at his church. His story is a powerful reminder: no matter where we are, Jesus meets us in our struggles, and He offers us real hope. Share Where You Are

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.
In the Middle East, sharing the Gospel isn’t just difficult — it’s dangerous. But that hasn’t stopped believers like Jasur in Uzbekistan. This past June, he traveled to the city of Gulistan to support a fellow Christian and reconnect with some old contacts. What followed was a powerful, Spirit-led gathering where testimonies were shared and the Gospel was presented to a room full of attentive hearts. And one young woman, Gulnora, and her sister were struggling—torn between Islam, their father’s religion, and Christianity, their mother’s faith. Their hearts leaned toward Jesus. Jasur didn’t pressure them. He shared the Gospel clearly with them, left a Bible, and promised to pray. If Jasur can share the Gospel even in such a dangerous region, well, we certainly can share to our communities too. There are people waiting to hear the hope that can only be found in Jesus. So let’s be bold in our witness. To learn how, visit our website at sharelife.today.

God’s Perfect Timing
Tuesday Jul 22, 2025
Tuesday Jul 22, 2025
Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.
You know, evangelism doesn’t always result in an immediate decision—but that doesn’t mean God isn’t at work. Pavel from Belarus led Bible lessons at a Christian camp for children with disabilities. And there, he connected with a family—Ihar, Hanna, and their three children. On the last day around a campfire, they attentively listened to Pavel share the Gospel, but they weren’t ready to make a decision to follow Jesus. Well, a year later, Pavel met them again at the same camp, but they had not come as campers. They had volunteered to serve at the camp! They shared with Pavel how God had been working in their lives. In the year since he had seen them, they all accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Pavel was filled with great joy! You know, we, like Pavel, have been commissioned by Jesus to share the Gospel. But it’s God who does the work of transformation in His perfect timing. Let’s be bold and share. For more, visit our website at sharelife.today.

The Most Dangerous Region
Monday Jul 21, 2025
Monday Jul 21, 2025
Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.
This summer, we’re hearing stories from across the globe; and this week, we’re spotlighting what God is doing in Eurasia. This large region may be the hardest and most difficult place to be a Christian. And yet, the Gospel is going forth. Afghanistan, Iran, Turkey, and Russia are just a few of the 14 countries that make up this region, with different cultures, religions, and social standards of life. And it’s vast—Russia alone has over eleven time zones! And even in this difficult area, we praise God for the thousands of Christians who have learned how to share their faith and the hundreds of thousands of people who have put their trust in Jesus Christ last year alone. Let's remember to pray for our brothers- and sisters-in-Christ in Eurasia who are telling others about the Good News of Jesus despite the dangers. And may we be encouraged that we too can step out in faith and share the Gospel. For more, visit sharelife.today.

No Condemnation

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.
Do you know that there are people we pass by every day that are living entrapped in fear and condemnation? Many know how vast their sins are but have no answer for what to do about it. They’re hopeless and lost. And what a pity if we don't go and tell them about the amazing grace found only in Jesus. Wari from Papua New Guinea was out with his team in a village witnessing when they came across a woman. And as the conversation developed, they asked her if she was sure that she was going to heaven. She replied, "No, I know I'm going to hell." Because of some great sins she committed in her past, she knew confidently where her destination was. But Wari said, "We have Good News for you!" And they told her about how Jesus paid for her sins on the cross in full. With tears in her eyes, she put her faith in Jesus Christ. You know, we can bring that hope to others as we’re sharing the Gospel? For resources how, visit sharelife.today.

Lost But Now Found
Thursday Jul 17, 2025
Thursday Jul 17, 2025
Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.
Today, I want to share with you an incredible story from New Zealand! Raj and Joyce unexpectedly encountered two high school students at a local mall. After striking up a conversation, they asked them spiritual questions, and both girls accepted Jesus after hearing the Gospel! And as the conversation continued, they discovered that the girls were struggling and homeless. They had run away from their homes, and right before Raj and Joyce had arrived, they had been praying for help. They felt compelled to offer them not only spiritual guidance but also a place to stay for the night and a warm meal. Well, that same night, Raj conveyed the importance of repentance from sin as well as the story of the prodigal son. The girls felt both convicted and contacted their parents to tell them they were safe. The next day, they were joyfully reunited. Raj and Joyce praised God for this picture of redemption and reconciliation through the Gospel. Learn how you too can share by visiting sharelife.today.

Newness in Repentance
Wednesday Jul 16, 2025
Wednesday Jul 16, 2025
Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.
2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore, if anyone’s in Christ, he is a new creation…” And this is exactly what happened in Sam’s life. But, really, the story starts a Christian named Pete in Australia. Pete received a text from his pastor’s wife asking if he would speak with an ex-inmate facing difficult challenges in his life. Well, when they met, Sam was transparent about the many struggles and hardships that he was facing, including his hatred of those of a certain religion. Well, Pete quickly turned the conversation to spiritual matters and shared the Gospel with Sam. And with tears in his eyes, Sam accepted Jesus as his Savior and confessed that he had planned to hurt people at a local place of worship. But now, his hatred melted away as he realized that he was a sinner and that Jesus paid the debt for his sin. He repented of his plan and turned to Jesus. Hallelujah! Going The Extra Mile
Tuesday Jul 15, 2025
Tuesday Jul 15, 2025
Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.
How far are we willing to go for the Gospel? Well, I know that it can sometimes feel impossible to even broach the topic of spiritual things with others; but truthfully, it is easier than we think. God provides opportunities for us to share, whether He brings the person to us or asks us to step out in faith and find them. And for some, they are very willing to go the extra mile. Beverly is the National Director of EE in Vanuatu, and it is common for her and her team to pack up a boat and sail across the ocean to another smaller island. And they do this to teach Christians how to confidently and lovingly share their faith, and then they see person after person give their lives to Christ. And if Beverly can do that for Jesus, well…we can too. So who can you go the extra mile to share the Gospel with this week? For more on how you can share your faith, visit sharelife.today. That’s sharelife.today.

Thriving Oceania
Monday Jul 14, 2025
Monday Jul 14, 2025
Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.
I’m excited this week to continue telling you more about what God is doing around the globe. And Oceania is our spotlight! In the ministry of Evangelism Explosion, we have seven key nations that span almost four thousand miles each way across the Pacific...and they help disciple Christians all across this vast continent! From New Zealand to the Marshall Islands, Papua New Guinea to the Cook Islands, and everywhere in between, Oceania is a large area to cover. And yet, the Gospel is going forth! Our Vice President of Oceania, Anne Bowie, shared with us recently that they have never experienced a better year in the ministry or more exciting time to be a Christian in Oceania. And this is because they are seeing young leaders being raised as disciple-makers in the church and more people than ever are making professions of faith in Jesus. To learn how you, too, can share your faith, visit sharelife.today.
