True Love

Happy Valentine's Day! Whether you celebrate this day of love or not, it is a great opportunity to ask those around you, "What would you say true love is?" You’ll get many answers in return and an opportunity to ask them, "Can I tell you about how I have found the greatest love I have ever experienced?" This can lead to a spiritual conversation where you can share your testimony of when you received Christ and understood God’s love. His love is different from human affection because it is unconditional, sacrificial, and never-ending. It also never fails. He showed it clearly through sending His only Son to earth to live the perfect life we couldn't and die in our place. Through His sacrifice, we have an opportunity to accept what He has done and be forgiven of all of our sins. What an amazing gift! And He offers it to all who would believe. God’s Love Builds Bridges

Do you realize that God is in the business of reconciliation? After coming to know the Lord, Sunny and Roshna learned to share their faith through EE classes and immediately began sharing the Gospel. They were converted to Jesus from their former religion, and do you know where they started sharing the Gospel? Well, at their former place of worship! Roshna said as they shared their testimony, you could hear a pin drop! The name of Jesus was being preached, with love, in a place His Name had never been. If that’s not bridging the gap, I don’t know what is! Jesus’ love bridges the gap between our sinfulness and God’s righteousness. Aren’t you glad that through Him, we can have Eternal Life because He made a way for us? There are so many stories in the Bible where Jesus urges us to bridge the gap and reconcile sinners to God. The Eternal Love of God

Why do we traditionally use diamonds in wedding rings? Well, it's because of that age-old phrase, "A diamond is forever." They symbolize the never-ending love that a couple vows to one another. Now, truthfully, diamonds do not last forever...yes, they are sturdy rocks, but all things on earth decay or break. You know what is forever? The eternal, never-ending love of God. Once we put our trust in Jesus Christ alone for our salvation, we gain a priceless relationship with God. And it is eternal. His love for us will never end. In Isaiah 54:10, God tells us, "'For the mountains may move and the hills disappear, but even then my faithful love for you will remain. My covenant of blessing will never be broken,' says the Lord, who has mercy on [us]." This truth changes everything. Who do you know that needs to hear about the everlasting love of God? Known by Love

Here’s a question: what are you known for? Jesus says in John 13:35, "By this all people will know that you’re my disciples, if you have love for one another.” Over and over again, the Bible urges us to love one another. After all, it is the Father's love that compelled Him to make a way for us to be with Him forever in Heaven! I know a guy named Vince who had a heart procedure. Now, can you believe that DURING the procedure he shared the Gospel with the doctors and nurses in the operating room? I mean, talk about a heart for Jesus! What do you think Vince is known for? Well, I'm sure everyone in that operating room can attest to the fact that Vince truly loves Jesus! What a testimony! Real Love

What is real love? Now, that’s the question that all of humanity has wrestled with. You see, we all need love. In fact, we’re made for it! When God created man and woman, He did so in His own image, and He declared it good. And the Bible tells us over and over about the Father’s love for us. In fact, there’s a hymn you may have heard before that says, “How deep the Father’s love for us; how vast beyond all measure…that He should give His only Son to make a wretch His treasure.” Jesus told his disciples in John 15 that “greater love hath no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” Did you know that Jesus—who’s God Himself—not only came to earth, but He died on the cross for our sins in our place? Respond with Jesus

With a few simple tools, we can speak the Gospel with confidence and develop a passion for those who do not yet know Him. One of today's tips for sharing our faith with confidence is to address questions. Even though difficult questions may come up in a spiritual conversation, we don’t need to fear them. Answer them as quickly as possible, then return the focus to the Gospel. Now, if you don’t know an answer, be honest; let them know you will find out. Remember to always return with an answer if you promise to do so. Another tip is to be ready to take the next step with others. Because when you share your faith, people will respond. Keep it simple. The Gospel is not complicated! Explain that what they must do is place their trust in Jesus alone. When you move in faith, God will provide both divine opportunities and the confidence that you need to tell others the Good News. So take a step of faith this week and share with someone! Why do we share the Gospel? Well, the simplest answer is because Jesus told us to. After He showed Himself to the disciples and many others after His resurrection, He left them with the Great Commission. "Therefore go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” Christ gave every follower of His a purpose before ascending to heaven—He called us to go and tell people the Good News of the Gospel. And through people coming to know Him, Christians are formed and begin to grow in their faith. What a privilege and calling we have! And the best news is we don't have to do it alone. Working With The Holy Spirit

Did you know that the Holy Spirit is working? Everywhere, all the time, drawing people all over the world to Jesus. And the same Holy Spirit lives inside each one of us. So, when it comes to sharing our faith we don't have to be afraid. Witnessing under the direction of the Holy Spirit is just seeing where God is already working and then joining Him in it. When it comes to witnessing our part is simply taking a step of obedience and sharing our faith. Then the Holy Spirit’s part is drawing men and women to Jesus. Wow, how easy and exciting is that? In John 5:19, Jesus said "Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son of Man can do nothing of His own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing," so our job as a witness is to simply follow Jesus' example, to only do what the Father is already doing. Sharing With Confidence

Did you know that God uses ordinary people like you and me to point others to Christ? Opportunities to share our faith are literally all around us. With a few simple tools, we can speak the Gospel with confidence and develop passion for those who do not yet know Him. One of the keys to sharing your faith with confidence is simply to being yourself. Keep the conversation friendly. Ask questions about their spiritual life and what gives them the most meaning. Take time to listen and understand where they are struggling. And share your story about how you came to know Jesus and what difference it’s made it your life. People love stories, and your story is interesting because it is unique. This will also help them understand the transforming power of the Gospel in your life and how a relationship with Jesus can impact them too. Our Biggest Fear

What's your biggest fear? For some, it's spiders, or the dark, or falling from a high place. But for Christians, there is a great fear in sharing our faith. For some, they just don’t know where to start. Others are afraid of facing difficult questions or simply rejection. You know, we’ve all been there; and unfortunately, many believers never move beyond that fear. The problem is, Satan knows this and often uses fear to keep us from sharing the Gospel. But let me encourage you to take that step in faith. Ask God to give you courage. Pray that He will open a door for you to share His love with another person. God loves to prepare people’s hearts to hear the Good News, and He is waiting for people willing to step out in faith and speak for Him. God uses ordinary people just like you and me to point others to Christ. So let's put our fears aside, and let’s learn how to share!
