God Will Use Us

“If I can lead just one person to Jesus in the next ten years, I’ll be happy the rest of my life.” This was the prayer of Toni from Finland before he joined one of our evangelism discipleship trainings. So he started learning how he could share his faith, and on his first attempt talking with his friend, who was the bass player in the band he was in, something unexpected happened…his friend wanted to accept Jesus as his Lord and Savior! Toni was blown away. He told God, “I said ten years—not five weeks!” But Toni experienced this truth: if we’re faithful to share the Good News of the Gospel, God will use us. Discipleship and Multiplication

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.
In the Czech Republic, Michal is faithfully discipling Christians how to share the Gospel! He started 2024 off by training two Christians to share their faith. And now, those two are equipping at least fourteen people between them! Now, that’s what I call multiplication. This past March, everyone went out to share the Gospel on the streets of Prague as part of the training, and Michal came across four Ukrainian teenagers who were refugees from the war. The two teenage girls of the group, Kristyna and Margo, both accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior and asked to be discipled by the Christians who shared with them! The kingdom of God is growing, and He’s using men and women just like you and me to share the Good News of the Gospel with people and to disciple them. Post Modern Europe

This summer, we’re taking a look around the world and seeing God is at work. And this week, we will be hearing stories of what God is doing in Europe. Europe is perhaps one of the most post-modern places on the planet, and yet, God is moving in mighty ways through this continent. Even in these past years of war and great political turmoil, hundreds of thousands of people have given their lives to Christ. Some of these have been refugees that have flooded across the borders of nations. And Christians in countries like Moldova, and Romania, and Poland have been able to come together and bring supplies to those in need. In addition to these acts of love, they’ve been able to share the Gospel, and many have come to know Jesus because of it. Let's join in and be faithful witnesses in our communities as well. For God and Country

"If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I’ll hear from heaven, and I’ll forgive their sin and will heal their land." This promise from God found in 2 Chronicles gives us such hope—even in a time where hope is scarce in our country. But here's the truth: God is faithful; He keeps His promises. So, we must humble ourselves, pray, and seek His face. We must turn from our wicked ways and repent of our sins. That's the power of the Gospel. When we place our trust in Jesus alone and turn from our sins, when we accept Jesus as the Lord and Savior of our lives...everything changes. And when this happens in a person after person, well...our culture and country changes. It heals as we’re healed. So let's not delay—let's share the Gospel. A Community Impact

Things change when a community comes together. We see this time and time again in our neighborhoods, cities, and country. And this very same principle applies to telling others about Jesus. We’re stronger together. In Namibia, Africa, this is happening all across the country. But I'd love to share with you an example of the local churches. They came together for an evangelism training event for children's workers, where they taught Hope For Kids, a program that disciples children to share their faith. And then, they took it back to their churches and started implementing it. And children in the community's lives started to change. And through that, the community started to change. This was all because Christians like you and me decided to come together and make an impact. And these believers were part of over 8 million children hearing the Gospel this past year worldwide. Not In My Country

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.
I met a pastor a few years ago who told me that evangelism doesn’t work anymore. He told me you can’t go and talk to people because the culture doesn’t approve. Do you know where this pastor was from? The African nation of Zambia. Unfortunately, that is a common statement we often hear around the world. However, I asked this pastor if he’d be open to come to a training near his home in Zambia and test his theory. Well, during that week, the Gospel was shared with 234 people with 158 giving their lives to Christ. Needless to say, he not only had a change of heart but a renewed passion for sharing the Gospel. And this is what we want to happen in our country. Sharing the Gospel is still effective. People are open to hearing the Good News of the Gospel…so let's share! The Gospel Changes Everything

The Gospel changes everything. Can I get an amen?! In our day and age, what's happening in our country and culture makes things look very bleak. But there is truth that we as Christians believe...the Gospel changes people from the inside out. And when people are changed, communities change. When communities change, cities are changed; and when cities are changed, nations are changed. The power of the Gospel is salvation for all who put their trust in Jesus and Him alone. So if we want to change our country and our culture, we need to start with the Gospel. Its transforming power changes hurting, sinful hearts to joyful, peace-filled ones. Because when someone puts their trust in Jesus, He gives them the Holy Spirit who gifts them with these things. Hope In Our Country

We should all want hope in our country. But you know what? We'll never have hope in our country until we have hope in our cities. And we'll never have hope in our cities until we have hope on our streets. We'll never have hope on our streets until we have hope in our homes. And we'll never have hope in our homes until we have hope in our heart. So then, here's the question: how do we get hope in our hearts? The source is Jesus Christ. Jesus came so that we could have new life. And it is that new life that is the fountain of hope within us. Billy Graham said it well, "For the believer, there is hope beyond the grave, because Jesus Christ has opened the door to heaven for us by His death and resurrection." Dangerous Resolutions

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.
Do you make dangerous goals? Now, you might ask, "Well, John, what do you mean? Are you asking if I plan to sky-dive or cliff-jump?" While those sound exciting, that's not what I’m asking. 1 Peter 4:19 says, "So then, those who suffer according to God’s will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good." It can be hard to live for Christ when we know that we are going to suffer and be persecuted for it. And I’m not going to sugarcoat it—the truth is, there are Christians around the world who face hardship every day for their faith. We see this continually in Eurasia. For countries like Afghanistan, Turkey, Iran, Russia, throughout the “stans” and many more, you can be persecuted or killed for being a believer. And yet, in Eurasia, Christians are boldly sharing the Gospel—because they know that the people around them need the hope found only in Jesus. May we be as bold! For more, visit www.sharelife.today.

Sharing in Azerbaijan

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.
In the predominantly Muslim country of Azerbaijan, something amazing happened. A family was visiting one of the major cities, and their friend asked Al-Sham if they could stay with him. Well, Al-Sham and his family are Christians, but he felt God telling them to open his home to them. When they were there, Al-Sham would invite them to sit and speak with him about God. He asked, “If you were to stand before God, and He asked you, ‘Why should I let you into my Heaven?’ what would you say?” Well, they replied that they didn’t know but hoped that the good things they did would be enough. Al-Sham then shared with them about God’s love through sending His Son, Jesus, to die in our place for our sins. And all who put their trust Him alone receive the free gift of eternal life.
