A Confident Witness

In a recent study we did with Lifeway, we found that while eighty percent of Christians say that their Christian faith impacts every aspect of their everyday life, only thirty-eight percent have shared the Gospel with a family member or friend in the past six months. Why, you might ask? Well, one of the biggest factors is that they do not know how to clearly share the Gospel. Twenty-three-year-old Anabel from Peru shared with us this testimony of being trained to share her faith. She said, "I am very happy I learned [...] to share the Gospel and have more confidence on how to connect and guide a spiritual conversation." The Task

Jesus gave us a very clear and important task to do: “Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to all creation." And let me encourage you today — ministries around the world who have partnered in seeing the world reached with the Gospel are thinking that the Great Commission could be fulfilled as early as 2033! But, you know, it takes all of us as the body of Christ doing the task Jesus has given us. The Great Commission is not simply a church program. It's not just a few verses left for us. It is the purpose and the calling of every believer who has put their faith in Jesus Christ as their Savior. Hope, Peace, and the Gospel

In a recent study we did with Lifeway Research, we found that seventy-one percent of the one thousand surveyed said that it is very important to have hope in their life. It went up to seventy-four percent who said that it's important to have peace as well. And sixty-six percent said they were open or very open to having a conversation about faith with a friend. Kennedy just experienced this firsthand at a recent Equip America event in Las Vegas. He had never really experienced going out and sharing the Gospel, so he was a little nervous as his team took him out. They went to a local park and walked up to a young mother, who heard the Gospel and accepted Jesus with tears in her eyes. "This was meant to happen—God sent you to share with me today," she told the team. And Kennedy was floored. And just like that young lady, many more open than you imagine. Fulfilling the Great Commission

Did you know that there are Christians all around the world that have been working tirelessly to fulfill Jesus’ last command? He gave us the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19-20: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you…” And there are many that have taken this very seriously. In fact, there are leaders that are saying the Gospel will be finished going forth and the Great Commission will be fulfilled as early as 2033. A few are saying it could be even earlier than that! And if this is true, the question we must ask ourselves is what role will we play? Let me encourage you: don’t wait to start sharing your faith. Hope for Kids in Canada

This past August, there was a children's evangelism training in Canada where pastors and lay leaders learned how to share the Gospel with and disciple the youngest of their congregations! The participants of this event spanned eight churches of different denominations. At the end of the long week of training, the Romanian Baptist Church where the event was held had a community outreach. The children from the outreach along with the children invited from the eight different churches all got to hear the Gospel. This merging of nine congregations was very special, and they had two different events united to share the Good News! And it doesn't stop there—two months after the children’s evangelism training, one of the graduates, using what they learned at the training, was able to share the Gospel with the children at their daughter's birthday party. EE4G in Indonesia

Proverbs 22 famously says, "Train up a child in the way he should go; and even when he is old he will not depart from it." Something’s been stirring in our hearts at EE for the great need to disciple young leaders around the world. In Indonesia this past year through a program called EE4Generations, more than one thousand young leaders have been discipled in how to share the Gospel and teach others to do the same. Can you imagine the impact these young leaders will have for the kingdom of God in the coming decades? But even more than that, can you imagine the impact that this discipleship has had on their own faith and on the future of their walk with God? Conversion of a Sheikh

Recently, in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Josue and his team comprised of pastors and lay people went into a village after being discipled in how they could share the Gospel. Josue was led by the Spirit to the home of Yusufu, who was a devout Muslim. As soon as Josue saw the black mark on his forehead, he wanted to ask his team members to pass the home by. But he felt the Spirit say, "Don't — enter in and share the Gospel with him." Yusufu welcomed them enthusiastically. As the team shared about Jesus, Yusufu began to argue back about Jesus' identity and divinity since Christ is viewed differently in the Muslim faith. However, the more they talked and showed him Scripture, the more he wanted to hear. And at the end of their time, Yusufu accepted Jesus as His Savior and thanked them for bringing him the true way to eternal life. Let the Children Come

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” This famous passage from Matthew 19 shows us Jesus' heart — God loves the little children of the world. And He wants to have a personal relationship with them! You know, we have an opportunity in our communities and families to share the hope that’s found in the Gospel with our children. This past December in Honduras, Susan, who’s part of our team, and her group traveled to teach a condensed version of a program called Hope for Kids to churches located there. Hundreds and hundreds of children in a poverty-stricken area heard the Gospel and gave their hearts to Jesus. They also learned how they can clearly share it with their friends as well! Every Nation

"Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit..." In Christ’s Great Commission, He specifically told us to reach and disciple men and women all over the world — from every people group, every tribe, tongue, and nation. As we talk about reaching the nations this week, I'd love to share with you a moment I’ll never forget. Back in 1996, EE became the first Christian ministry to be planted in every nation of the world. There was this grand ceremony where someone from every nation carried their flag. Their legacy continues today as Christians around the world are still equipping the church to share their faith. The Gospel continues to go forth in power in some of the toughest places on earth. Tell the World

The word "Gospel" translated from the original Greek literally means "good message" or "good news!" Well what has to happen in order to share good news? Well, we have to actually impart it to others. You see, many Christians believe that they can share the Gospel merely through their actions. They do their best to live out what they believe. And that's wonderful! We absolutely should walk out our faith. We don't want to be a hypocrite that looks no different than the world. The Gospel’s changed us, Jesus has saved us, and we should live it out! But we can't stop there. The message will be unclear—un-understood—if we don't take the time to tell others about it. First Peter two nine tells us, "But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light."
