Live the Word

George Mueller was a great man of faith. He lived in such a way that the Word of God directed his life, including his incredible work of taking care of thousands of orphans by faith. He actually wrote down in his diary every occurrence that happened as God supernaturally answered his prayers. He received over a million pounds sterling for the support of his orphanages without ever once telling a single person outside the institutions of their needs. He believed that God still provides for those who trust Him and obey Him—and guess what? God did. And this is how we live by faith and see the Scriptures come alive in our life—by placing our trust in God that He will provide and answer our prayers. And when we hide God's Word in our heart, we can pray those Scriptures and deepen our faith daily. And when we do, God becomes the center of our whole life. Reading for Guidance

Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path." When we apply this powerful verse to the area of reading our Bibles—we see that we do so not only to acquire knowledge of God and His ways but also to be guided in our lives by His will and His mind. We must come to the Bible in a prayerful spirit. We’re reading it with the intention of having God address us. We can pray along with the Psalmist, “Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your law” and also plead the promise of Ezekiel 36:27 that He will cause us to walk in His statutes. Have A Plan

If you fail to plan, you plan to fail. Isn't that the truth? And as we seek to grow in the area of Bible reading, it's important to have a good plan. The reason we plan is because it's important as children of God to, over time, gain a thorough knowledge of the contents of all of Scripture. The more familiar you are with its contents; the more able you are to appreciate what God is doing and what He’s saying to us. You can find published plans on many Bible apps, or even online, that will take you through the whole Bible in a year or more. Whatever your plan, make sure to stick to it. If for some reason, your reading lapses for a while, don’t give up—find where you left off and start again. Start creating this important habit in your life and watch your faith grow! Kingdom Students

We are learners from the moment we’re born until the day we die. We are instructed, shaped, and conditioned by processes that we may hardly notice. We learn attitudes, outlooks, values, and understandings of our world, of ourselves, and of others from a myriad of sources—such as parents, peers, friends, significant others, communities, and culture. They all have a part in shaping us. Now, not all that we learn from these sources will bear the stamp of the Kingdom of God. And that’s why God’s Word is so important to us as new creations in Christ. The Word of God is about life in another Kingdom. And learning to live as people who belong to the Kingdom of God in a broken world is a constant challenge. We need the God’s Word to "be transformed by the renewing of [our] mind[s]," as Paul tells us in Romans. God Speaks

The Bible is the most widely distributed book—and also the least read. There are millions of professing believers who have not yet discovered the joy and spiritual benefits of digging deeply into the Word of God. It is an inexhaustible treasure trove of wisdom. From the opening chapters of Genesis to the last chapter of Revelation, the God of the Bible is the God who speaks. And He uses His Word as a primary means to do so in our lives. So, if we are not seeking to hear God's voice through reading the Bible, we are missing out on some major growth in our Christian walk. Today is the day to begin growing in this area! Let's open God's Word and listen to what He has to say. And as we grow, let's always be mindful to share with others what God is doing in our lives. To The Next Level

Whether you’re a seasoned Christian or you’ve just begun your life with Christ, the decision to grow in Jesus lies largely in your hands. So let me ask you the question: How can you take your faith to the next level? Are you considering your goals for the next year? Well, I’d encourage think about how you can join in what Christ is already doing in the world around you. 1 Corinthians 15:58 tells us, "Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain." Find opportunities to reach out into your community. If you’re not confident in sharing your faith, well, learn more on how you can be ready and confident to share. Be praying and looking for opportunities to tell others about what Jesus has done in your life. And then share His love with them! God’s Guidance

“Guide me, O Thou Great Jehovah, Pilgrim through a barren land.” The late Dr. D. James Kennedy would say these very words every morning before his feet hit the ground. In this season of striving toward the resolutions and goals of a new year, we need to ask ourselves...are we relying on the guidance of God? There are many snares, temptations, and difficulties out there. We desperately need Him and His direction! The Bible says in Proverbs, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path." And God keeps His promises! All He asks from us is that we trust Him. So let me encourage you—pray for God's leading in your life, and He’ll will begin to give you opportunities to serve and love Him like never before. Happy New Year! Do you realize that God has already made amazing plans for you in 2025? Now, you may be running around, living life day to day — juggling a thousand tasks. Your daily life may seem busy and unorganized; you may not seem like you have a plan for tomorrow, much less a new year; but in reality, God has a very good plan for your life. In fact, the Lord says He plans for you to prosper and to give you hope and a future! And that hope that He gives propels us into prioritizing meaningful things, like putting our trust in Him for the harder times and sharing our faith with others. God has a purpose for each and every person; and we, as believers, should share that truth with everyone we that we meet. A New Purpose

On this New Year’s Eve, we all wait with bated breath to welcome in the new year at midnight. And for most people, this is a special time… a restart, a refresh, a reset. And it's a time when we can think deeply of our purpose for the next year. So let me ask you one of the most important questions that I’ve ever heard...What are you living for? What is the purpose of your life? Did you know that God calls us to examine ourselves; and then, He gives us specific things in His Word that we’re created us for! The last commandment that Christ gave was that we were to go and make disciples to all nations. He also challenges us to be salt and light—salt in that we keep the culture from utterly corrupting; light in that we bring into the darkness of men’s mind the light of the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ. New Year’s Goal

What's your goal this coming new year? The number one New Year’s resolution people typically make is focused on physical health. But how is your spiritual health? Just like exercise helps your overall health as we become more fit, we need discipline in our walk with God to become spiritually healthy. God doesn't want us to remain stagnant in our relationship with Him. He wants us to grow! And one of the ways we can do this is by centering our lives around Him. Just like we make time for people who are most important to us—to talk with them, hear their hearts, encourage them and share our thoughts with them—God wants the same. To deepen our connection and relationship with Him, we need to speak to Him! And we can do this through prayer. Let me encourage you today to set aside time to pray, and then begin to share your heart with your Creator and Friend. He is listening and will respond—through His Word or other means!
