You Can Be Certain

You can be sure the sun will rise to the east and set to the west. You can be sure that one plus one will always equal two. And you can be absolutely certain that you cannot get into Heaven because of the good things you've done. Now, before you write that off as a calloused statement or simply an opinion, consider what the Bible says. The Bible tells us that no one is good, not even one. It also says to be perfect, just as your Father in Heaven is perfect. It is a real problem for us if no one is good, yet we are expected to be perfect. We simply cannot do it! This problem is solved by the Person of Jesus Christ who was both God and Man - perfect, just and full of grace. You can be certain that placing your faith in Jesus is enough for eternal salvation. The Truth

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.Have you ever thought, 'that may be true for them, but that's not my truth'? But if something is actually true...then, it is in fact...true! Jesus Christ said, "You will know the truth and the truth will make you free."  In fact, He declared that there is truth and not a relativistic truth.  He didn’t say you will know “a truth” or “your truth” but He said, you will know “the truth.”  Today, people will say that we can’t know anything for certain but, again, the Bible tells us in 1 John 5:13, that “These things have I written that you may know that you have eternal life." Now this is something you can count on to be true: Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever and He alone can save you. Saving Faith

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.'Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.' Do you have this kind of faith? Saving faith. You see, faith is like a key. There are many similar keys, but only one can open the door of Heaven. Let me explain first what saving faith is not. It's isn't a blind leap into the dark and it's not merely intellectual. Saving faith is not temporary faith, either. It is fully trusting in Jesus Christ alone for eternal life. It's not just believing that Jesus could be a way to get into Heaven or that He was a good man, it is a life fully surrendered and trusting Him. So have you put your faith in Jesus alone? It's the most important decision you could ever make. If you are ready to know for sure that Heaven will be your home one day, you just have to accept God's gift of grace in Jesus. Good Isn’t Good Enough

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.Are you a good person? You know, most people would probably say they are pretty good. Not perfect all the time, but not so bad, either. But by what standard? The Bible actually gives us the standard. Jesus says in Matthew 5:48, "Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect." Now, that creates a problem because the Bible also says 'there is no one who does good. No not one." So if our good isn't good enough, how can we earn our way into Heaven? We can't! Our best efforts could never get us close, but God, rich in mercy made a way for us! While we could never deserve it, Jesus came to earth and took our punishment upon Himself. Now all we have to do is accept God's gift of grace! So, stop trying to work your way into Heaven. Do YOU Know For Sure?

It may be something you don't think about often, but I am sure you have considered it before at least a time or two. Here's the question: do you know for sure that you will be with God in Heaven? Whatever your answer may be, there is another important follow up question. If you were to die today and stand before God and He were to say to you, 'why should I let you into My Heaven?' What would you say? Think about your answers to those questions, and consider the peace you could have if you did know you would spend eternity in Heaven. Heaven is a free gift that cannot be earned or deserved. All you need to do is place your faith in Jesus Christ alone. Only Jesus has the key to Heaven. So, do you know for sure? Testifying to God's Faithfulness

Jim could see God’s hand in it all. And the same is true in our lives. When we look back, we see God’s faithfulness—how He’s guided and transformed us since we placed our trust in Him alone. A Bright Future

And he said, when your memories exceed your dreams, the end is near. And I added the corollary—when your dreams exceed your memories, the future is bright.” What a great quote! You know, it’s good to look back and remember God’s faithfulness. The stories of what He’s done encourage us and build our faith. But we can’t stay there. God’s mission moves forward — and there are still so many who need to hear the Gospel. So let’s thank God for His faithfulness yesterday and keep working for His Kingdom today. Ambassadors For Christ

No Chance Meetings

I remember meeting a young man at a bus stop when I was out with a team in Arizona, who shared that he was just sitting there thinking about what was shared at his AA meeting, that having a relationship with God could change everything. He asked us if we knew what that meant. And we were able to share the Gospel with him. So the next time you meet someone unexpectedly, remember—it’s not coincidence, it’s divine design.
